Leesa Chandler

Leesa Chandler

Leesa sources her inspiration for designing from different cultures such as Japanese, Middle Eastern, Chinese and Australian. Leesa loves teaching and sharing her obsession with rich decadent prints, as well as three dimensional appliqué and handbag design.

Her patchwork philosophies include the fact that it really is all about the journey, and having fun with friends, preferably with cake and a cuppa close at hand. The fact that you end up with something beautiful at the end of the journey, is your reward for making time for yourself.

As well as having projects published in magazines such as Australian Patchwork and Quilting, Leesa has designed and published over 50 patterns for quilts, wall hangings, and Under the Australian Sun is her first fabric range which showcases her country’s beautiful flora.

Leesa Chandler's Culture Club

What is the Culture Club?

The Culture Club is going to take you on a trip around the world.
Every six months you will travel to a different country, and be inspired by its culture, architecture, customs and history.

You will be able to take a trip around the world, without leaving your sewing room!

Every six months there will be a new range of fabrics designed by Leesa for Robert Kaufman and a range of projects to complete which were inspired by a different country.

Being an Australian designer, Leesa has given us access to these beautiful collections in Australia earlier than anyone else.
